AMERICAN DREAM RADIO
Why do we keep replaying
many of the same programs?
I am seeking to expose listeners to high quality information about a narrow range of essential, under-reported issues related to the loss of equal opportunity in America. American Dream Radio broadcasts content about influence peddling, democracy, media distortion, and the shrinking of the middle class.
While I make frequent changes to programming, American Dream Radio repeatedly rebroadcasts much of its programming. The station is a loop that is often about 31 hours long. This would allow someone to listen 2 hours a day, at the same time of day, without hearing repeats for almost 3 weeks.
These issues don't seem to change very quickly. American Dream Radio is thinking of education more than entertainment. We sometimes talk about news events, but we are not trying to keep up with the latest news. The decline of the middle class has been going on for over 30 years, and many of the concepts we cover are not generally known by American citizens.
Many of these talks have enough information that I find them interesting enough to listen to more than once, but, if you've already heard it all, please tell a friend who hasn't.
I am beginning to look for funding for the station. If this happens, I will produce more original content and the shows will likely change more often. Donations make it possible for me to produce more content as well.
If you want to stay informed about the latest programming, register for American Dream Forum, our on-line discussion forum and article bulletin board.
Once you are registered, I'll notify you, via e-mail, when we have our special focus periods; a period of a couple of weeks where most of the programming is new and the loop is shorter. After that, we return to our core loop of about 31 hours of essential issues, with the added new content. This allows regular listeners to easily hear our latest additions without having to listen what's they've already heard.
If you've tuned into the middle of something good, come back and you'll likely hear it again sometime (like somewhere around 31 hours later). If you've heard something you want a friend to hear, send your friend here and the show will almost certainly be replayed. My agreement with my streaming service (live365.com) and some of our content providers prohibits us from publishing a broadcast schedule.
If there's an issue you think American Dream Radio should cover, please say so via e-mail or on the station's suggestion board.
In any case, thanks for listening. I hope you feel your time listening to American Dream Radio is well spent.
