AMERICAN DREAM RADIO
How's YOUR American Dream?
In the 1950's and 1960's most Americans answered YES to all of these questions!
Do you consider yourself to be Middle Class?
Are you employed?
Does your spouse stay home with the kids?
Does your job pay a living wage?
Are you confident that you have health care and retirement under control?
Does work leave you with time and money for a
personal life?
For good family time?
Are your political leaders looking out for your interests?
If you had a concern, could you get "face time" with your representatives?
Are your news sources providing the information you need, as a citizen, to make good voting decisions?
Do you feel U.S. democracy is in good health?
Will your children and grandchildren be able to go to college, own homes, or open their own businesses?
What kinds of answers did YOU come up with?
Don't be misled by corporate media and bought-and-paid-for politicians, and slick advertising.
The Righteous Right is not right and the
Extreme Left is not all that's left.
There's room for tough, creative thinking in the middle.
Our news sources and politicians can't stop telling us that it's about The Left vs. the Right, so that's what most people still want to talk about.
Maybe during the Cold War, but what's ailing
America isn't about Right vs. Left anymore.
It's not Republicans vs. Democrats.
Bush didn't start this problem and Kerry won't finish it.
Thomas Jefferson insisted that the new American
government serve its citizens, not its elite.
Dwight Eisenhower, a moderate Republican, warned us about this problem in the
1950's.
Many others have done so since.
Learn about what's happening to Equal Opportunity
in America.
Hint: It's going away.
For over 30 years, Middle Class life in America has been on the decline. Capitalism works, but it's time for a New Capitalism. Will we get it?
The days when most single workers could achieve financial security for their whole family are gone. Many two-income families are barely making it.
Will your children understand why you were silent when the U.S. borrowed so much money to lower taxes for rich people and virtually eliminate taxes for corporations?
Are "free market" economies really the
solution to our economic woes?
Do we really have a free market economy?
When and how did American government turn against small business and the middle class?
When politicians take so much money for
campaigns, does it affect their priorities?
Duh! Of course it does. It used to be
called bribery, only it's mostly been legalized now. All Americans pay for
the promises politicians have to make to keep the money coming. We pay
when politicians get contributions by trading away our "Commons"
(America's amazing natural resources which are owned by all of us). We pay
when working people pay far more in taxes than corporations do.
Is it still possible to salvage anything for our
children?
Many economists are predicting an impending
financial collapse in the U.S. Are they just crazy? If
you don't wake up until you hear the big crashing sound, there might not be much
left to do.
Where is America going now?
American Dream Radio is talking about it, 24 hours a day.
